A sofa for the hospitality market

The second edition of the Montbel Design Contest begins its quest for an unconventional and innovative design.

Following the success of the first edition of the MetroQualiTask Design Contest, the competition aimed at young creatives – students, freelancers and designers – is back. Montbel, partner company of MetroQuality Milano, will once again be involved in the initiative, proposing their brief with the aim of attracting new talent by giving them the space and opportunity to express themselves and make their mark.

The objective of the brief is to come up with a design for a sofa aimed at the hospitality market and that can be incorporated into the company’s collections. A contemporary form needs to be reflected within an organic and configurable design, one that’s aesthetically appealing as well as offers 360° functionality, with particular attention paid to the choice of colours.

Indeed, a colour palette that’s capable of perfectly conveying the mood of the sofa’s intended settings (lounge areas, restaurants, hotels, etc.) would be especially appreciated.

Applicants have until 15 May to submit their designs and seize the opportunity to make a name for themselves with this renowned Italian furniture company.
